Trivia
In the morning Sting and his band did the soundcheck at the venue.
During the day Sting also did an interview with Catherine Ceylac for the TV show "Thé ou Café" that was broadcast on France 2 on November 19. He played Fragile and I Can't Stop Thinking About You.
He was also interviewed and performed One Fine Day on the "C à Vous" TV show on France 5.
Around 8:30pm the venue doors opened. Only about 140 people attended the concert - about sixty were winners of RTL and RTL2 contests, the rest were guests and VIPs from the RTL station.
The hosts of today's event explained that everybody's here to record two broadcasts - the concert part for RTL2, and an interview part for RTL.
At 9:10pm Sting and his band arrived. Down, Down, Down was played twice, because during the first take a string on Dominic Miller's blue guitar broke and he had to use the red one to finish the song. After Shape Of My Heart a sound engineer asked Sting to perform Down, Down, Down again.
After the concert Eric Jean-Jean arrived, and started the "second show". Sting was announced, and welcomed as if there hadn't been a concert just minutes before. The interview was done in three parts - the audience was asked to applaud each time as if Sting had just played a song. The event finished at 10:25pm.
