Before the concert The Police were interviewed, filmed and photographed in their dressing room for Canadian magazine Music Express.

The Police and crew came onstage while support band Re-Flex were playing - they picknicked on stage! Later Re-Flex entered the stage when The Police were playing their encore and Re-Flex member Baxter poured a glass of champagne over Sting's head.

Paul Fishman (Re-Flex) remembers: "The gig in Buffalo was the last time we played with them. Directly after, we commenced a tour of the US on our own - albeit playing slightly smaller venues. It generally is a tradition to in some way acknowledge the last night and so during the middle of our set The Police and most of their road crew who were dressed in disguise, walked onto the stage and sat down to have a picnic, which they shared with us. So we decided to dress up as backing vocalists and make a surprise entrance during their set. As for tipping the glass of wine over Sting's head, all I will say is that out of the corner of my eye I saw Stewart leap off his drums and instantly his roadie took over playing. He then proceeded to wrestle with Bax on the floor of the stage and eventually managed to remove his underpants, which he then threw into the audience. Somebody went home with more than a T shirt."
