Band history
Formed in August 1976 Chelsea played their first concert on October 18, 1976. Line-ups changed a lot over the years, with Gene October being the only original band member. The Police have a long common history with Chelsea, as a band and as individuals.
Stewart watched several concerts and eventually filmed the band during the Anti-Nowhere League tour - for his movie So What.
Sting performed with them twice in 1980 and 1981.
Gene October played a junkie in the Andy Summers / Robert Fripp Parade music video.
Henry Padovani played guitar on one song of the Underwraps album.
