The Police take a few days off in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Outlandos newsletter from March 1982 mentions that Sting was working late on the film set today (as fans thought they might see him at today's Chelsea gig at the Marquee). It's doubtful that this really was the reason why Sting didn't attend the Chelsea concert.
Sting did some reshoots for Brimstone & Treacle at the end of February 1982, but it's not sure when exactly he flew back from South America and started filming again. The Police played in Chile on 1982-02-20. The flight back to London would take about 16 hours in itself, the time difference would mean that even if Sting flew back right after yesterday's concert he couldn't have attended the Chelsea gig - and not have done any reshoots either...
