This was the 2nd The Police Picnic in Canada after 1981-08-23. According to local promoter Gary Topp there were altogether about 37.000 people attending. The Talking Heads were a late addition to the line-up.
According to Billboard (September 4, 1982) 38.824 people were in the 50.000 capacity venue, meaning that C$776.480 were earned.
At a reception in Toronto, The Police received gold and platinum records for Ghost In The Machine.
