In Harlem's Apollo Theater Elvis Costello interviewed The Police for his new TV show Spectacle: Elvis Costello with... The Police.
Elvis started the TV taping with a solo perfomance of Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic (twice).
They also played a few songs together: Sunshine Of Your Love, Purple Haze and a medley of Elvis' Watching The Detectives and The Police 's Walking On The Moon.
The TV taping began around 4pm and lasted for about 2 hours and 20 minutes.
The edited TV show is to be broadcast in the USA and the UK in autumn.
Later that night Sting and Trudie Styler went to Bruno Jamais Restaurant in New York. They were guests at the album launch party for The Ivy Ceiling by the duo Lokah. Sting can be heard on the track Ma Durga.
