About the song
The song was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in late February 1982 - with Michael Nyman responsible for the orchestration and Eric Tomlinson recording. Sting sang vocals, but didn't play double bass. Andy Summers played guitar.
Sting recorded the vocals for this song at RAK Recording Studios on 1982-03-01 - maybe he was just overdubbing a flat note, maybe re-recording the whole thing.
This song appears on the soundtrack of the film Brimstone & Treacle.
