26 Green Street is where Stewart Copeland, his girlfriend Sonja Kristina and brother Ian Copeland lived in late 1976 and early 1977. Stewart moved in on 1976-09-09. They didn't own the house, but lived there while the owner was abroad. It's also the address where Sting met Stewart in 1977 when he came to London. By coincidence he phoned from a phone booth in the same street.
The Police's trial rehearsals and first band rehearsals also took place in this building.
