On 1979-06-23, The Police performed at the Freilichtbühne Loreley (Festival) in St. Goarshausen, Germany.

Setlist

Roxanne was played. As was Next To You.

Recording information

Stewart's Super-8-camera was used to film parts of The Police's set.

Trivia

This was one event from a series of festivals in Germany with the headline BRITISH ROCK MEETING '79. The Police also played at Dortmund's festival, but left out other events.

More than 20.000 people attended the Loreley festival. As there were only 18.000 tickets about 2.000 people broke down some barriers and entered the open-air venue for free.

Photos from this gig can be seen in The Police Released on pages 17 top right, 18 top left, 36, 44/45 and 87.

The DVD Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out shows some clips from the Loreley festival.
