Summary

Today Sting wakes up in Brighton at 6:30am in his hotel room. He's on the Quadrophenia set at 8am. The riot on the strand and in the streets is filmed today. As it gets dark the rest of the shooting is postponed to the next day. Sting changes clothes on the way to Gatwick airport in the record company's car.

Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers both went to Piccadilly Radio's studios (at Piccadilly Plaza in Manchester) for an interview with Pete Baker. In that interview they talk about the latest single Can't Stand Losing You and its cover, then about Faulty Records and their first single Fall Out. Stewart says just wait folks for the new album, its gonna be amazing etc etc. He sounds like his talking about there 1st album Outlandos, as they are talking about now we have the name the police we can release the album etc etc Interview is definatly pre- Outlandos UK release date. Stewart promises that the new album will be great as they worked on it a lot instead of playing concerts.

Sting has got to be in Manchester's BBC TV Studios for The Police's appearance on the BBC2 show "The Old Grey Whistle Test". Soundcheck at the studio is done an hour before the live performance. Sting manages to spray metallic paint into his eyes instead of his hair. There's an eye hospital near the studio where Sting is treated. The Police play Can't Stand Losing You and Next To You with Sting wearing one of Stewart Copeland's large glasses... Sting catches the sleeper train to Victoria and then drives back to Brighton - arriving on the set at 7 o'clock the next morning.
