Date: 1978-10-16
Location: Manchester, England, UK - Piccadilly Radio (Piccadilly Plaza) / BBC Studios
Attendees: Piccadilly Radio: Stewart Copeland, Andy Summers / BBC Studios: The Police

Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers both went to Piccadilly Radio's studios (at Piccadilly Plaza in Manchester) for an interview with Pete Baker. In that interview they discuss the latest single Can't Stand Losing You and Stewart's photo on the cover. They also talk about Illegal Records & Faulty Records and their first single Fall Out. Stewart says folks should for the new album, it's gonna be fabulous - as The Police worked on it a lot instead of playing concerts. Stewart also mentioned they are flying over to the States at the end of the week. Pete started off the interview by saying that his hair and voice is similar to Klark Kent...which Stewart playfully denies! The songs played during the interview (which are not on the master tape, as the songs were inserted in between the interview - as written on the master tape box) were (in order) Can't Stand Losing You, Fall Out & Dead End Job. Pete Baker confirmed to Craig Betts that he owns the actual master reel tape, so a piece of priceless history!

The Police appear on Kid Jensen's BBC radio show later that day.
