Trivia
The website Birminghammusicarchive.com lists Birmingham concerts for a lot of bands. They feature The Police only once for 1977 (although they played there several times) and that would be for July 15, as does the above ad for both Rebecca's and Barbarella's. Sadly Stewart Copeland's diaries don't feature the usual day to day information for this month as they do for most of the year 1977, but he features the Barbarella's concert for today - with an additional "Birmingham" entry for the day before, which makes his - probably rescheduled - date plausible.
