In 2000 Sting had recorded one of Ivan Lins's songs (She Walks This Earth) for the record A Love Affair - The Music of Ivan Lins.
When Sting was in Rio de Janeiro for a concert (2001-01-12) he called Ivan because he wanted to develop a song. They went into AR Studios the next day to play and record for two hours.
