Recording information
On June 23, 2019 an audio recording of this concert surfaced online - see "External links" section. The description mentions the date 1978-12-22 and a ticket printer's strike at the reason for the re-scheduling.
Trivia
Stewart Copeland's diary / calendar mentions "Manchester" for today, but newspaper clippings suggested that TWO Manchester concerts were cancelled at short notice. Originally The Police were supposed to support Albert Y Lost Trios Paranoia at the Apollo Theatre. When this was cancelled another gig at the Polytechnic was organized - and presumably cancelled.
It took place anyway ... but maybe on December 22...
