Introduction
Only three of these 12 string guitars were built by Chuck Matthews, Ken Parker and Tucker Barrett for their "Guitarman" company (on 48th Street in New York, NY, USA) in 1980. One went to Andy Summers, the second to Pete Townsend from The Who. Melody Maker from May 2, 1981 shows Andy with this instrument.
Gear breakdown
The guitar is already listed in Andy Summers' equipment in the 1981-1982 Ghost In The Machine Tour programs. Andy used it onstage for Synchronicity I during the 1983-1984 Synchronicity Tour.
