John Cale was drunk and reading the papers most of the time. [[Sting]] was quite upset...
They recorded an early version of DEAD END JOB plus two takes of VISIONS OF THE NIGHT - a combination of those was later used on the WALKING ON THE MOON 7"-single.
 
  
After the recording Sting and Henry went to Henry's flat and discussed the future of the Police without him, something Henry already felt was in the air... He then decided to go back to Corsica, to spend a well earned holiday.

John didn't like [[Andy Summers]] - so he wanted [[Henry Padovani]] to do the guitar solos which Andy didn't accept..

The Police record at Pathway Studios again - this time with John Cale as producer. They recorded an early version of Dead End Job plus two takes of Visions Of The Night - a combination of those was later used on the Walking On The Moon 7"-single.

John Cale was drunk and reading the papers most of the time. Sting was quite upset...

John didn't like Andy Summers - so he wanted Henry Padovani to do the guitar solos which Andy didn't accept.. In the end John said that Andy should do the solos with Henry's guitar.
