Sting and Trudie Styler meet Prince Charles on the first day of his 10 day visit to the USA - at the Museum of Modern Art reception in New York, NY, USA
Sting also wrote a letter to "Popular Mechanics" that day. He pointed out their error to give an award to the wrong company, mentioning that his friend Kenny Schaffer was the original inventor. Both had been friends since The Police drove through the USA in an econoline. Sting met him again in early February 1985, watched Russian TV with him at his lab (maybe inspiring him to write Russians) and bought his electronic equipment in 2003.
