After the show Sting taped his acceptance speech for winning a BPI award (Best British album: ...Nothing Like The Sun) as he couldn't be in London on the day of the BPI ceremony (held at London's Royal Albert Hall on 1988-02-08 and broadcast on Britsh TV).

There was an after show party in a restaurant in Greenwich Village. Suzanne Vega and Dennis Hopper were among the guests.
