PoliceWiki:Userboxes

From PoliceWiki

Introduction

Just like with Wikipedia, userboxes at PoliceWiki are small boxes that users can display to show their support or belief in various topics. Userboxes generally have a few lines of text, sometimes a small image.

Rules

 • Userboxes are intended for users to place on their own user page.
 • Boxes shouldn't be insulting. (That is, no "Stingo sux LOL" boxes please.)

Making Userboxes

Here's an example of the coding used in a userbox.

<div style="float: left; border:solid {} 1px; margin: 1px;">
style="width: 45px; height: 45px; color: #000000; background: #fffff; text-align: center;"|'
style="font-size: 9pt; background: #33ff00; color: #000000; line-height: 1.25em; text-align: center;"| This user is a proud <span style="color:#000000">sc.nutter</span>.
}</div><div style="clear: both"></div>

<noinclude></noinclude>

The end result is this:

Scnetlogo.gif This user is a proud sc.nutter.

The code itself looks like this:

Content

Any color can be used in userboxes; simply change the HTML color code. Userboxes can be silly, such as the one above, or they can be more direct: "This user drinks Orangina" or "This user reads fan-fiction."

Generally, "This user" should be the first words, but that is just a suggestion, not a rule. Somewhere in the text, a link to the main article (of whatever the userbox is supporting) should appear.

Posting Userboxes

To add a userbox to your user page, simply copy and paste the code. A code typically is .
