=Introduction=
[[Sting]] received this fretless bass on [[1980-11-22]] in Chicago, IL, USA. 

It was featured in the official video for [[De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da (video) | De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da]], which was shot only a few days afterwards.

On [[1981-01-10]] Jol Dantzig gave another black Prototype to Andy (its serial number was 02391). Andy played it at that show and was satisfied enough to ask Jol for even another guitar.
