Setlist

The songs in brackets are NOT on the recording of this concert. However they were ALWAYS played before and after this gig, so I included them in this setlist. Don't Stand So Close To Me is mentioned in the OOR review of this concert, so it was definitely played.

Recording information

There's a (partial) recording of this concert. Voices Inside My Head and Don't Stand So Close To Me are missing.

Trivia

Earlier that day The Police were still mixing Zenyatta Mondatta at Wisseloord Studios until about 2:30AM. Gust Spruyt picked them up at Wisseloord Studios in a bus and drove them to the festival, listening to early Zenyatta Mondatta mixes on tape. Miles Copeland arrived by plane at Zaventem airport.

When they left the motorway at Turnhout Andy Summers mentioned he'd been there before and was told that's because he played in nearby Geel with Kevin Ayers. As they still had some time Gust Spruyt and The Police went to a café at the Markt in Geel to drink a beer.

Stewart Copeland was interviewed in the tourbus by Marc Didden around 2:30PM.

The concert was reviewed in OOR (August 27, 1980).

This review mentions around 10.000 people in the audience. However have a look at the ticket number...
